Zoom 2D View

My laptop has a small screen, making it necessary to get all up in its grill to see fine details in the 2D view. It would be nice to be able to zoom the 2D view to 2x, 3x, or 4x the normal size. This might be helpful even on larger screens when working on a tricky cube.

I’ve often wished for a zoom feature in the 2D view too.

Firefox allows you to zoom into the 2D-area using ALT + Mousewheel. However, this will cut the borders and you are not able to translate the view to see the edges of your slice… so: not that useful in many cases.

Another workaround (even though it only grants you -don’t know- 1.1x normal size) would be to switch your browser into full screen mode. Shortcut: ‘F11’ using Firefox or Chrome

This is already a feature!  ALT-scroll wheel lets you zoom in and out.

But it does not work if the path you are working on is at the cube border. At least I am not able to move the zoomed slice around in order to see its corners.

Yeah good point.  No panning.  I put it on the list!

Zooming isn’t cool, you know what is cool? panning while zoomed. Get on it fellas.
