Will Eyewire 1 get additional cells + other general questions?

I’m very late to the game (joined a week ago) but really loving it so far. I know the project has expanded to Eyewire II and Flywire, but will the original one get more cells or is the dataset finished? I’ve only seen Lightyear 8.130 available for the past week but its out of cubes and all of the branches seem to have ended.

All of the other cells are listed as “Scouts / Scythes needed” and I can’t get to that rank without additional practice, though it seems like there’s not much to work on there either. When do cells get marked as “completed”?

I know that AI can do far more than it could in 2012 (to say the least), so I understand the shift more to Eyewire II and humans doing more of the scything/checking than the initial mapping. Just wondering if the original version is more or less complete or still being maintained/added to, since I’m not a Scyth yet and haven’t had practice doing that

Hi
I think there are still a few cells left to trace in eyewire 1 but at the moment i think most of the work done in HQ is fokused on betatestng eyewire ll. And it looks like they are not really looking at eyewire1 or forum a lot. It might help to send a email to support@eyewire.org to let them know you are out of cells.

From my understanding eyewire will continue running as a way to train people in cell structure and reading of em images before getting acess to other datasets where you can do a lot of damage if they can´t trust you. But will probably use cells that have been traced earlier again instead of new cells when all the cells are traced. My wild guess is that there are perhaps 20 cells left in the dataset that will be traced.

If you are loving the game i would ask for promotion to scout as soon as possible.you need 80 % accuracy. You can´t do anything wrong as a scout but you get more tools to look around in the whole cell instead of just a cube at a time. and will give you a better understanding on how we work in eyewire II
