What are these enormous things?

Occasionally I’ll see these enormous things crossing the volume. I’ve selected it just for show. What are they? Blood vessels? Other neurons?

This is just a thick part of the neurite close to cell body (‘stump’). Some types of neurons have thicker neurites than the cells we are working on. Another type of cells that can appear as big is the glial cell, with jagged surface. We may be able to have a chance to look at how various cell types are there just in the retina. Blood vessels are much much more thicker than this and look ‘dirty’.
