Strange image line distortion

Has anyone else encountered an image with such a distortion before? Should we process them or skip them? It feels like part of the image is missing. It’s really hard to tell whether or not segments are connected around that line.
Thanks whathecode, please refer a previous discussion on the issue:

Just out of curiosity, how could this have happened? Did somebody bump into the microscope while the picture was being taken?

I’m not an experimentalist, so I can just imagine. Let’s just imagine.

Do you cook? Have you ever chopped a lump of meat into slices? Some part can be tougher than others, then it won’t cut clean. As you get closer to the end of the lump you don’t have much place to grab it tight enough, then it won’t cut clean either. Actually, this seems to be the exact case here. This particular location is close to one end of the dataset. Similar thing as cutting the end of a lump of meat may have happened. believe it or not.
