Proofreading Examples for Tutorial

Hi all,

THANK YOU so much for testing today!

As some of you noted, the tutorials are still a WIP. We would like to make them more robust with many examples that progress in difficulty. Currently the merge and cut tutorials allow only one user at a time and they reset the edits when tutorial finishes. We could have more examples to run tutorials in parallel, and I would also like to add difficulty progression and more thorough explanations of proofreading.

Important: examples must come from the Sandbox dataset.

We need your help to find good examples! Please comment below with examples of merge and cut. In your example, label difficulty 1-3 (1: EASY - we need lots of these!; 2 - medium; I understand this will be a range; 3 - HARD)
Please link the before and after views and provide description. I will use Claude to integrate these into the tutorial system.

We could also utilize the find path tool for example to find origin of tricky mergers. Hopefully we will be able to invite more of the Eyewire community soon!

It’s not a difficult ‘find’ but it’s a usual find in terms of what may be missing in a bc cell:

Just like with finding missing stuff in EW jagged and/or flat edges leads the way.

Small merger, but typical of the glia stuff that can be merged with a BC cell:

Something a little trickier,

A before:
https://spelunker.cave-explorer.org/#!middleauth+https://global.daf-apis.com/nglstate/api/v1/5597478162792448

and an after:
https://spelunker.cave-explorer.org/#!middleauth+https://global.daf-apis.com/nglstate/api/v1/5376898725576704

A missing branch/bouton that when clicked is merged with a rather large glia piece that needs to be sliced, diced, good stuff to be merged together and bad stuff removed.

If you want/need something a little more…complicated for a/the tutorial(s), for split/merging stuff:
https://spelunker.cave-explorer.org/#!middleauth+https://global.daf-apis.com/nglstate/api/v1/5957567112019968
this is a link of 203 super-merger segments in EW2

and if you want/need I can search and find (if there are any) similar multi-cell mergers in the Pyr dataset, if you need to have samples from diff. datasets.

I just remembered! You can find some harder-to-find splits/merges here.
