The “… image stack along all three axes” feature (ctrl+click & drag on the 2d image) seemed to work when I first tried it. The normal of the 3d representation of the 2d plane could be rotated from the starting y-axis to either of the other axes. But later on, ctrl+click & drag on 2d seemed only to move the 3d image, the same as ctrl+click & drag on 3d. This feature would enable spanning a relative straight segment in fewer steps by shifting the 2d plane to nearer parallel.
Pushed a change which I hope fixes this… let me know if you can produce it again.
