Nearly solid cube?

I just had a cube that was nearly full. It looked like a hulk of Swiss cheese. It took me about 40 minutes just to fill the spots in the exterior surface. Each slice had a couple dozen spots to fill in the interior. -With hardy any filling-in “bleeding into” the next slice.

What are these nearly full cubes?
Do the interior spots need to be filled in? -It probably would have take several hours to do so.

The exterior surface looked smooth when I was done -Probably not as good as I thought -I only got 20 points for it.

There is a neat FAQ that might answer your specific question and maybe also other ones.

Look for “WHOA!! I got a cube with a giant blob in it! But it’s taking forever to fill in…” :)

I had gotten two of those.  They are the cell body, not dendrites.  Somewhere in the FAQs it says not to spend more then 10 minutes or so on them.  Not sure why.  I received 1,000 points on one of these cubes!
