Just now I found several tasks that had merge errors in them – something like four out of the last six. Was the algorithm changed sometime recently?
I just ran into the same issue with many merge errors. It seems like you can’t win more than 20 points even when there isn’t a merge error as well.
Yes I’ve encountered this problem too…very annoying. @jinseop thinks there is some problem with the task spawner, but we haven’t heard back from the developers yet. Unfortunately these major problems always seem to crop up on the weekend!

Yes, we screwed up and you caught us, I’m so sorry. I also want to apologize that the diagnosis took this long. Finally the problem seems to be turned out, and we are working to fix it. The problematic tasks have already been inactivated and any user won’t get those tasks anymore. Thank you for your patience.
@robertb, a postdoc had a luxury to work home. 
@josephr, a merge error is an error that part(s) of other neuron(s) are merged into the neuron we are working on. We usually use the word for such errors made by the AI, but similar human error can also be called as such. It mostly happens when the image quality is bad.
