I hope this hasn’t been requested before (I couldn’t see it). I’d like to be able to nip back to the overview to see the bigger picture, and then return to my cube. The behaviour I’m getting at the moment (unless I’m missing something blatant which is always possible) is when I want to return to the cube it erases all the work I’ve done and starts again.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be helpful to be able to tell if a branch is going to connect somewhere or just die out at the edge.
So far I’ve just fiddled with the sequence where we zoom in on part of the cell to make it last longer and get an idea of the other dendrites around the cube and verify if they connect.
By fiddling I mean rotating the cube or zooming in/out before the rest of the cell gets cleared.
