I click, but nothing is colored in

I left-click, but nothing is colored in.  No matter what I do, where I click - nothing is colored in.  How is this supposed to work?

HI hiram and welcome to the forum!
I use my superhuman skills and sense that you are using Safari 5.1 on a Mac.

There are several threads to this, for example here, here and here. In short: Either try Chrome or in case you have Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or above you could also try to update to Safari 6.0. Not sure if this will actually work... feedback would be great.
