Eyewire freezing and crashing Google Chrome

Definitely – I would be surprised if it’s fixed, so just beware it may re-materialize.

The change I just pushed included a huge UI-code overhaul, so that’s why that stuff is breaking. I’ll definitely try to fix that tonight/tomorrow.

The start-playing button – oh yeah that one’s irritating. I’ll bump it up the priority list.

I’ll try to fix the mute button lag as well after the rest of this.

Thanks for the reports!

Thanks so much  :)    Seems to be working pretty well so far.

I always change the plane opacity so that I can see through it. I’m noticing sometimes it has trouble redrawing (especially if I spin around in 3D).  Here’s an image https://picasaweb.google.com/109588210127993825727/EyewireError#5795239672850194434  Not a problem for working, but thought you should know.

An aesthetic thing, the new serif font isn’t as easy to read as the old one was.  It’s quite small and sharp.  The sans serif used elsewhere feels much smarter to me, but I know that’s purely subjective :stuck_out_tongue:

With regard to the Serif font and cropped top bar:

Can you try doing a cache-clear or just refreshing the page? My girlfriend’s laptop displayed it the same way, but it just needed to reload the new stylesheets.

Oops… you’re right!  And didn’t I say before that I should always clear cache/cookies?!  duh.  Yup. Looks much nicer now

The lag on “start playing” should mostly be fixed now as well.

Thanks it’s great!   Really fast now

I am having a similar problem. I have tried Firefox 18, Chromium, and Google Chrome. Regardless of browser, whenever I hit “move on” after finish a cube, my CPU usage goes up to 100% and then either the browser hangs (firefox) (And needs to be killed) or the tab crashes (chromium/chrome). the only way to find out how many points I got for my last cube is to remember what my score was before and subtract.

I also experienced this problem in the tutorial; I was unable to move from one part of the tutorial to the next without having to restart my browser.

I am running Ubuntu 12.04.

Chrome, having disconnect / reconnect issues after clicking “proceed”. Got better for a while after unchecking ‘animation cube select’ box, but at the moment is taking 2 or 3 attempts. ty.

K2, how many other tabs do you have open in Chrome?   I’ve found that only having one or two tabs open usually helps speed the loading time.
