Chrome failure, comparison to Safari, Firefox

eyewire.org:

Chrome: No background image
Safari: Static background image
Firefox: “Loading game data”, then animated background image

eyewire.org Sign in:

Chrome: Homepage of eyewire.org reloads.
Safari: Logs in, "There should be a spinning 3D neuron here"
Firefox: Logs in.

So what’s going on with Chrome?

I’m not sure, are you still having the same issue?

Shift-cmd-C is your friend in Chrome  The JavaScript console shows that the method ‘loginUser’ is being called on an undefined var ‘account’ at eyewire.org line 841. My guess is that the ‘ready’ function isn’t being called (which is where the account var is assigned). Possibly a clue to this is here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5596904/jquery-document-ready-broken-in-iron-chrome

Or also possibly here, in the note: http://docs.jquery.com/Events/ready

Hooray, Chrome is working again!

I haven’t found out how to enable webvgl on safari. when i get to the develop menu, there isn’t any button saying “enable webvgl”.

please help

I can only guess about your system, so:

Safari on Windows has no WebGL support at all.
Mobile Safari (iPhone, iPad, …) supports WebGL, but currently not for “non-developers”.

Also note that it is “WebGL” - without the ‘v’

Safari still does not work.
