It would be amusing to use the results from EyeWire to preprocess the images to get a better segmentation, and use the improved algorithm to go deeper into the brain, ad finem. Then again, I don’t think mice are very well-adapted for segmenting slices of neural tissue. 
If only we could get hold of people’s eyes. Then we could just bootstrap all the way up to the Singularity! Alas, with mouse retina, we’d just get mousier mice, not godlike mice.
