The new visual update to the overview is beautiful, unless your PC is having a little problem with it, in which case you may see a matte-black neuronal space rotating there.
While the underlying cause is being resolved a temporary fix has been posted off and on in the chat the last couple days. I confirm it has worked on my troublesome Windows PC, so here it is as a post:

Flag to add: –disable-d3d11
So for example, my desktop shortcut has a Target field:
“C:\blahblah\chrome.exe"
I edited it to read
"C:\blahblah\chrome.exe” --disable-d3d11
