Q2 re special task: Would it not be as if not more effective to keep (re-add) the initial segID after making any/all changes as to showcase all the changes made rather than keep in all the removed mergers (even if hidden) in a diff. colour than the new/changed segID?
I agree, I think this is probably the best way to just compare the before/after segment IDs. But I wasnāt part of the conversation directlyā¦
⦠So in answer to your first question, the initial/origin Segment would be the mergers to keep so we can show what didnāt get removed to those who are learning
okie dokey, I played it safe and just kept all of them hidden lol, oh and btw current entries in special task are all done.
Wow! Great! Iāll be sure to share this with them.
Itās nice being back with these retina cells ā theyāre like old friends
ikr? Iām like āI know this cell and this cell and this cellā¦I know all the cell morphologies here
ā lol oprah winfrey moment lol
It has been so long since Iāve worked with these cell types, on the other hand, I feel like Iāve gotten myself confused, haha.
Remind me: how do we tell GCs and SACs apart?
the avg ganglion will have an axon
and be either single layer or bistratified (two layers).
SB/SACs on the other hand have no axon and are on a single layer going āoutwardsā from the CB like an exploding star
Sorry I didnāt get back to this last week, things were particularly busy.
I agree that this would be a good workflow, and we may change to this method for future similar tasks. For this one letās just keep it as is since itās already complete.
Thanks for all the work you did on these, itās much appreciated!
Sounds like a plan, and yvmw! It was fun checking up someone elseās work.
Hi AzureJay,
Yes! Feel free to trace both SACs if they started out merged together. And just keep them on the single line like you have right now in the spreadsheet - it looks great!
We only ask that the final link have both cells in it and the two final segIDs in Column L
Sorry I missed this! Yes, please make sure to do the soma and nucleus annotations for the cells. For the True End/Canāt Fix/Hits Edge, this is to help you keep track of your proofreading progress (since we donāt have highlight/complete/etc. like we do in Eyewire) and also for any potential reviewers/researchers to easily find areas where there may be an issue (ie. Canāt Fix).
Np! Thnx for the answer. For the new Nuc SegID thingy, do you want the ##### alone in gsheet or also the segment included (not merged) in final link?
Letās leave out the nucleus, I think itās fine to just have the Seg ID in the sheet. Thanks!
Good question, letās leave āhits edgeā for just the branches.
Hi all!
Iāve noticed that many have moved off of the SAC spreadsheet, and are working on some other projects. We could use a little push to get this done, so if anyone is inclined to come back to the sheet, please do!
Also, just wanted to do a little informal polling to see if anything more fun/motivating on other projects when compared with SACs, of course we want this project to be engaging as well!
TIA, and thanks for your work on the sheet so far!
Is it enough of a ārushā/push that I/we canāt be given a couple more days to finish them -all- off? I had some health related issues (mine and/or parents) that prevented me from working on SACs/EW2/much of anything else the past 3+ weeks, but I think I can go through them all before Thurs/Fri (at the latest) if yāall donāt need them finished ānowā/today.
Sure, that would be fine if you are interested in trying to get them completed. Sorry to hear about your/your parentās health issues, hope everyone is doing OK!
Thanks! Yeah things are better now.
Iāll have things finished before weekendās over. (if not before that, sweet sweet SACs lol).
Not a question, I just canāt find a thread here in the forums more appropriate to post this, but the OFF-SAC entries in the gsheet (minus some that are WIP/NEED HELP etc by other folk) are all done! Now to finish up the ON-SACs.
